International Food Standard

The aim of the International Food Standard is to create a consistent evaluation system for all companies supplying retailer branded food products with uniform formulations, uniform audit procedures and mutual acceptance of the audits. By creating this evaluation system, it generates a high level of transparency throughout the whole international supply chain. The IFS was originally developed due to the rising demands of consumers, increased legal requirements, and also the increasing liabilities of retailers and wholesalers. The service is available for trade, food producers and auditing organizations.
