ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Accreditation is the criteria for laboratories to demonstrate that they are technically competent, operate an effective quality system, and are able to generate technically valid calibration and test results. ISO 17025 applies to any organization that wants to assure its customers of its precision, accuracy and repeatability of results. ISO 17025 also includes in-house laboratories where confidence of results is at a premium.
